In 4JW's Literacy lessons, we have been writing poems around the subject of volcanoes. We have written our own poems which are the style of Haiku, Cinquain and Descriptive.
Everybody agreed that all three poems were great fun writing, but definitely not easy to think of!!!
Before we wrote our poems we had to list powerful adverbs, adjectives and phrases that might come in handy at certain points in the poem. If people have an inspiration to right about it is very easy because you know what to write about.
