My first blog
Lately in Year 4 we have been writing volcano poems in literacy.
We have been writing haikus, cinquanes and descriptive poems. They are the types of poems we have been learning about.
E.G Volcanoes erupting people screaming panic everywhere now theres clouds of ash advancing.

Today I will tell you about football. We played football at school yesterday and the Jets won 14-2 against the Galaxies. We won because we worked as a team and I scored 2 goals.

Today, Wednesday 25th March 2015 we are writing a massive explanation but we only got 2 DAYS TO DO IT. Mine is about gymnastics. To plan mine there was a burger plan on the back of the homework sheet. We did not have to plan on the sheet but I did. We could have brought in photos, draw a diagram or draw a picture but I have too much stuff so I cannot !!!!!!!

Recently in maths we have been practising our division and we are all at different stages. Some people did a speical challenge but I didn't. I was playing a special maths game with my maths partner Amber. We had to choose 4 numbers and then we had to make a number sentence out of them, then we had to work them out and the person with the lowest number at the end won. So when me and Amber had played the game and it was the end of the the lesson we conted up our points and I won!

Hello today we are focusing on how to use e-mail to send to Mrs Rich to our Year 4 blog.
At school we are learning about volcanoes. We have learnt that what makes a volcanoe erupt is the pressure of the stones moving round. This turns into magma and the more the volcano gets filled it then explodes.

Hello I am very excited about blogging. This week we our learning about volcanoes. I have learnt that hot water often bubbles to the surface volcanic regions. That creates geothermal springs. I am looking forward to our school trip at the Ancient Technology Centre.

We all vary are level of challenge. This week we have been focusing on the temperature and graphs. We have now a class thermometer and we read it every hour. We have now learnt how to read line graphs, bar graphs and pictographs.
This week in maths we have been doing multiplucation we are all on diffrent methods again some are on long or grid here are some examples.

Assesments
We have lots of assessments normally once a month we have these because it tests us on our learning. So that are teachers can see what stage we are at. When we do asesments, some people enjoy it but some people don't. The reason why is quite simple some people don't like writing and people like me do.

We are going to the Ancient Technology Centre in Dorset on the 29th of Apriel .we are going to stay in a Viking long house wrapped in sheep's skin.
At Poulner Junior School we are having a red nose day on Frida

My literacy poems
In 4JW's Literacy lessons, we have been writing poems around the subject of volcanoes. We have written our own poems which are the style of Haiku, Cinquain and Descriptive.
Everybody agreed that all three poems were great fun writing, but definitely not easy to think of!!!
Before we wrote our poems we had to list powerful adverbs, adjectives and phrases that might come in handy at certain points in the poem. If people have an inspiration to right about it is very easy because you know what to write about.
The clubs after school
We do many clubs after school such as netball, cooking, maths fun club, enviromental club, football and they are all lots of fun!
